Trustwave Appoints New Business Development Manager for Latin America

Trustwave, the leading provider of on-demand data security and payment card industry compliance management solutions to businesses and organizations throughout the world, announces the appointment of Hermes Romero to manager of business development for Trustwave Latin America.

Romero has more than 13 years of experience in the information security and networking industry, specifically in South America. Romero spent three years at IBM ISS, most recently as business development manager for Chile, Peru and Bolivia. Previously, Romero worked at Unisys Corporation serving in multiple roles ranging from engineering to regional sales manager for Chile and Colombia.

At Trustwave, Romero will be responsible for the firm’s business development activity throughout Spanish-speaking South America, including new business opportunities and channel and alliance partnerships. His comprehension of data security will enable him to garner new business, growing Trustwave in the Latin American market, and in turn, helping business partners understand the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and the steps necessary to validate and maintain compliance. The appointment of Romero also expands Trustwave’s local presence to include Chile, in addition to its South American headquarters in Brazil.
