OneMarketData's OneTick Selected for Tick Data Research and Management by QTrade, a High-Frequency Trading Firm

18 November 2008

OneMarketData, the leader in historical, real-time, and streaming tick data processing in capital markets, announced today that QTrade Capital Partners LLC selected its OneTickâ„¢ platform for tick data research and management services.

QTrade is a proprietary trading firm that specializes in high-frequency trading.

Built from the ground up for financial institutions, OneTick's enterprise-wide approach and built-in business logic offer minimal integration requirements, a short learning curve and a reduced time to production. Its high-performance, low-latency architecture manages all of a firm's tick data, and handles every conceivable tick data need,
including: algorithmic, low-touch and program trading; statistical arbitrage and market making; regulatory compliance and surveillance; and alpha research and transaction cost analysis.

"As a recent start-up, we needed a partner that could help us get off the ground quickly, and that offered the same sophistication that was available to larger firms," said Barry Friedman, co-founder of QTrade.
"With no programming language to learn and most key business knowledge analytics already built-in, the learning curve was minimal. Traders researchers and programmers alike were able to use the system almost immediately after the installation, which significantly accelerated our date to start trading."

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with QTrade and to offer it a sophisticated solution that meets its tick data research needs," said Leonid Frants, CEO of OneMarketData. "Our highly scalable solution enables us handle any type of asset class, and to meet the needs of firms of any size, from start-ups to multi-billion dollar hedge funds and bulge bracket firms."

OneTick's user-extensible analytics process millions of ticks per second per CPU and work uniformly on historical, latest collected, and streaming data. It eliminates the need to duplicate code, allowing the same query to operate on historical and real-time streaming data – enabling clients to do both back-testing and real-time signal generation.
