First web-based jobs site for Data Management Professionals launched by LakeFrontData Ventures

13 November 2008

Data management professionals can now post or find a job on LakeFrontData Jobs, the first job site created specifically for the data management industry.

“It’s no longer necessary to spend hours sifting through all-purpose sites such as Monster or Craiglist,” notes Dale Richards, Chief Executive Officer for LakeFront Data Ventures. “LakeFrontData Jobs has just one purpose: to meet the unique job search needs of employers and data management professionals. It’s confidential, secure and absolutely free for data management professionals and those wanting to enter the industry.” The service is also totally free for employers until February 2009.

Endorsed by The EDM (Enterprise Data Management Council), LakeFrontData Jobs offers product-specific (e.g. Kx, Asset Control, Reuters) searching, data management skills (e.g. modeling, mapping), data subject matter expertise (e.g. quality, governance), data-skilled functions (e.g. business analysis, product management, product management) and leadership roles. “We support LakeFrontData Jobs and believe the service will be a timely and valuable facility for both employers and data management professionals,” says EDM spokesperson Mike Atkin. The functionality of LakeFrontData Jobs also facilitates searching and matching via 75+ data management skill areas and provides confidential contact to a counterparty within the data management community.

Secure registration is the only step required to post or search for a job. “There is nothing easier,” says Mr. Richards, “and when you consider that it is absolutely free, there is no reason to use anything else.”
