British Energy undertook a major tendering process to identify solutions and partners to deal with core issues around operational integrity, flexibility and capability in key business areas covering activities such as pricing, billing and settlements.
British Energy has selected a number of solutions from Utilisoft, including:
-AFMS AVANT: a web-browser based application which has been designed to automate many of the key processes inherent in the UK utilities retail market, including customer registration and loss and metering information flows. AFMS AVANT is a new interface to the already proven AFMS application.
-DataFlow.WEB: a new desktop data management tool which provides a modern web-based architecture and intuitive user interface. It reduces the complexity of the data and processes which are fundamental within the Utilities industry, offering significant business benefits to organisations and enhanced usability for users.
Neil Strange, Business Architect at British Energy commented: âWe have undertaken a rigorous process to identify the right solutions for our business. The selection of Utilisoftâs products as an integral part of our end-to-end solution will help support our strategic aims. We are looking forward to working with Utilisoft on this challenging project.â
John Furness, Managing Director of Utilisoft commented: âWe are consistently striving to be the leading supplier of data and process management software to the Utilities industry, and the selection of our solutions by British Energy following a rigorous evaluation process goes a long way to confirming this position. We have been determined to continually develop new solutions and enhance the functionality within our existing portfolio â and the fact that British Energy has selected two of our enhanced solutions is testament to the development work that we have undertaken recently.â
