Applications Trophy Awarded to ITESOFT-based Samse Project

8 March 2008

ITESOFT, leading developer of electronic document capture and automatic processing solutions, has announced that its customer Samse received the Special Jury Award at the 2008 Oracle Applications Trophies. The Special Jury Award recognises innovative and creative projects that demonstrate the capacity of new technologies to create measurable value and benefits for users.

The jury includes representatives from Oracle France, Oracle, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards user’s clubs, the press and the academic world. It was unanimous in choosing the Automated Supplier Invoice Capture Running Under Oracle project for the Special Jury Award. Headed by Mr Frédéric Dufau-Joël, Information Systems Director at La Boite à Outils (Samse), the project uses ITESOFT.FreeMind for Invoices, ITESOFT’s electronic supplier invoice capture and automatic processing solution integrated into the Oracle E-Business Suite.

Ranked third in the French market for building materials and DIY, Samse generates a turnover of close to €900M. In 2007 Samse implemented a system for the automatic capture, processing, matching and approval of its annual 500,000 supplier invoices.

Frédéric Dufau-Joël describes the results: “Adopting an automated solution has allowed La Boite à Outils outlets to refocus on their core business: 56% of invoices are now matched automatically. And that’s not all: the approval process has also become much faster.”

He added: “We are proud to receive this Trophy, recognising as it does our long-term collaboration with ITESOFT, a partner that has not only helped us with the technological and functional implementation of the Oracle environment, but also has provided support to staff and to the project management process.”

Philippe Lijour, ITESOFT Managing Director, said: “The interoperability of our business-specific automated document solutions with leading market ERP systems, such as Oracle, Peoplesoft and JD Edwards, is one of the main pillars of our development strategy. Oracle’s recognition of the Samse project with the Oracle Applications Trophies proves both that our strategy works and that our solution performs well in this environment.”
