Columbian Financial Group selects FIS Software’s Flagship Policy Administration System, ALIS

25 March 2008

FIS Software is pleased to announce that Columbian Financial Group (CFG) in Binghamton, NY has selected ALIS as its strategic policy administration platform. CFG will utilise ALIS to support its new business initiatives as well as its in-force policies. ALIS will administer the insurer’s complete product offering including participating and non-participating whole life, pre-need, final expense, universal life, annuities and worksite.

“Following a very thorough system evaluation that included the highest rated policy administration systems on the market today, we are pleased to have been selected for this important initiative.” says Ron Karam, President FIS Software, Inc. “CFG has been a great partner and with our project teams now fully engaged and with a clear set of objectives, I am confident we will have a successful implementation later this year.”

“After we evaluated the flexibility of ALIS and compared it with other packages, it proved to be best solution for our organisation.”, Says Peggy Rubin, Senior Vice President at CFG, “ALIS has rich functionality and provides a robust set of configuration tools that will allow us to be self-sufficient to support our future new business, policy administration and agency management needs.”

ALIS will be at the core of the company’s strategic initiative to improve operational efficiency by enabling CFG to rapidly introduce new products and streamline its business processes by modernizing the infrastructure and consolidating a web of legacy solutions.

CFG will utilise all ALIS straight-through-processing components including quotations, illustrations, underwriting, reinsurance, billing and collections, customer service and claims. All components are configurable and share a common set of product, business process and workflow rules. CFG will also implement ALIS Agency Management system, a robust enterprise level solution for managing agent information, commissions and statements. With the project in full gear, ALIS will be live for new business later in 2008 with the first legacy system conversion following one to two months later.
