ZXTM GLB beats competition to make Network Computing ‘Product of the year’ short list

Cambridge, UK - 30 January 2008

Zeus Technology, a leading provider of application traffic management software, is pleased to announce that ZXTM GLB (ZXTM Global Load Balancer) has been short-listed for Network Computing’s ‘Product of the year’ award.

Launched in June 2007, ZXTM GLB is a DNS (Domain Name System)-based Global Server Load Balancing system and is available as both software and a hardware appliance. It works alongside an internet traffic manager to allow organizations to scale their internet-enabled services to multiple datacenters, achieving improved reliability, better utilization and better performance. This translates to a better experience for users as they are always directed to the best performing or closest datacenter.

Paul Brennan, CEO and Chairman of Zeus responded to the news by saying, “Zeus is proud to be short listed alongside other industry leaders in this category. The product is unique in that, unlike most Global Server Load Balancer products available today, ZXTM GLB is not tied to a particular load balancing platform. It functions equally well alongside any load balancer and other infrastructure products and is very easy to deploy and use. ZXTM GLB also provides a far more comprehensive and engaging visualization of actual traffic than any other product available.”
