(NYSE: SAY), today announced the appointment of a new practice head to focus on hedge funds and alernative products. Ian Mainwaring will lead Citisoft's Alternative Investments Practice, focused on offerings designed to help asset managers solve operational issues around derivatives and alternative investment products and services to hedge funds. Citisoft's alternatives services include implementation management and strategic and solutions consulting.
Prior to joining Citisoft, Ian Mainwaring was head of Technology for Electronic Trading and Hedge Accounting at Rabobank International. Prior to Rabobank, Ian had roles at Credit Suisse, Credit Lyonnais and Natwest Markets.
In the past 12 months, Citisoft's Alternatives Investment Practice has doubled in size with a substantial increase in client need for services related to alternatives, particularly from institutional asset managers.
At the same time the demand from the hedge fund community, working in a wide array of strategies, has increased.
