Focus develops intermediary extranet service for Lincoln i2Live

Focus Solutions, proven supplier of enterprise solutions to the financial services market, is pleased to announce it is working with Lincoln Financial Group in the UK to launch an intermediary extranet service for their Lincoln i2Live products for the retirement planning market.

Lincoln required a solution that would improve the adviser experience, be simple and easy to use and would be easy to integrate to existing systems. The service will provide support for financial advisers selling and servicing financial services products.

The service will enable Lincoln to provide advisers with an online browser based application that showcases the product set and the ease of illustrating a fully flexible retirement plan. Through the Lincoln adviser website,, advisers are able to generate bespoke pension product illustrations online for their clients which includes i2Live Accumulator, i2Live Drawdown and i2Live Annuity.

The intermediary solution will include an extranet framework that utilises Focus’ core components such as a case management facility, illustration data capture and integration to a pre-sales quotation engine provided by DSTiPAS (Pensions Actuarial Service). Future enhancements will improve the service for both the adviser and Lincoln internal administration, enabling them to track transfer payments, obtain valuations and re-assign cases electronically.

Lincoln i2Live enables advisers to manage their client’s pensions in one plan, allowing clients to continue with the same investment options while they move through life stages and between products as their needs change. Lincoln i2Live includes an Income Guarantee Option, a selection of investment choices with fund growth potential, phased retirement options, and death benefits for dependants.
