InvestEdge ASP Features Enhanced Asset Classification Capabilities to Provide Greater Depth of Performance Reporting

16 April 2008

InvestEdge, Inc., a leading provider of wealth management solutions to large banks, trust companies, brokerage firms, and financial advisors, today announced the availability of InvestEdge ASP Version 8.0. The latest release provides enhanced asset classification for more detailed and precise performance reporting, and also includes a new performance composite engine and enhancements to the system’s extensive reporting capabilities.

InvestEdge ASP is the wealth management industry’s only front-office platform to enable customization of asset classes to such a far reaching extent. Through the system’s new “Asset Class Expansion" feature, investment advisors now have tools to categorize assets at a more granular level. In addition to the standard 4 asset categories (Equities, Fixed Income, Cash and Other) investment management firms can define up to 10 additional custom asset classes, as well as 4 layers of further categorization at the subclass level. The addition of asset class customization increases the flexibility of performance reporting, especially when defining indices at numerous levels. The new functionality provides the investment manager a better and more accurate way to present their investment strategies and management styles.

Version 8.0 also includes the first installment of the Composite Performance Engine. Clients can now create, maintain and report performance for composite portfolios and compare them to relative benchmarks. The system allows for sub account management with the ability to maintain and track when accounts come into and out of the composite, adhering to GIPS recommendations.

In addition, updates to the system’s robust reporting engine allows users to incorporate static PDF reports created from other sources into reporting packages created within the InvestEdge platform. This feature allows investment professionals to create reporting packages with all relative data for the client account, whether the report is created in InvestEdge or by another system. By integrating the static PDF reports into InvestEdge’s report functionality, the workflow of creating report packages is simplified and produces more professional looking presentations, ensuring items such as page numbering and table of content updates are established with all reports taken into account.
