COGENT CONSULTING NAMES WALL STREET SALES & MARKETING PROFESSIONAL THOMAS K. SMITH AS DIRECTOR OF SALES

SUMMIT, NJ, - 5 September 2007

Cogent Consulting LLC, the leading vendor of online commission management solutions for institutional investors and brokerage firms, today named Thomas K. Smith as Director of Sales. Mr. Smith, a highly regarded Wall Street sales and marketing professional, was most recently Director of Sales at CecilRep LLC of New York, which develops search-based reporting solutions for financial service firms.

Robin Hodgkins, President and CEO of Cogent, said Mr. Smith’s more than a decade of experience selling and marketing technology products and services to Wall Street related companies will be a valuable addition to the Company. Mr. Smith’s previous experience includes senior sales and marketing positions with CecilRep, Kana Software (CRM solutions), and Greenwich Technology Partners (network infrastructure). Past clients range from insurance companies and brokerage/investment banking firms to institutional investors. Mr. Smith was graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Providence College.
