Comarch Seizes the Factoring Market

9 November 2007

Comarch has signed two further contracts - at Getin Bank SA and BGZ SA - to implement Comarch Factoring, which was awarded a prize in March this year in the 'Transaction Systems' category of the 'Financial Institutions' IT Leader' competition by the Gazeta Bankowa in Poland. Comarch Factoring has now been in operation for nine months at DnB Nord Bank, where it is known as NORDfaktor.

"These two new contracts to implement Comarch Factoring will speed up its development and put us in a good position to fight for further implementations. We're also really happy that we correctly predicted the strong growth in the region's factoring market and so took the decision to start developing the factoring service system at the right time. Because this forecast has proven correct, we have every reason to be optimistic for the future of this product" commented Tomasz Marszal, a Consulting Director of the Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets Sector at Comarch SA.

"These contracts confirm that Gazeta Bankowa's award of a prize for innovation to Comarch Factoring was well-deserved. It definitely sets us apart from the competition - in Poland now it's really difficult to find a product that is as innovative and has such a wide functionality spectrum. There's no doubt that each new implementation will have a very significant influence on the system's development" said Radoslaw Bulzak, a Sales Director of the Banking, Insurance and Capital Markets Sector at Comarch SA.
