BPC Banking Technologies, a recognized provider of e-payment solutions for the retail financial services industry, announces the successful completion of Energobank’s (Ukraine) processing center modernization.

Within the project the previous card processing system used by the bank was replaced with the modern fully functional SmartVista solution designed by BPC. The core of Energobank’s new processing center consists of the following SmartVista Suite products: SmartVista Front-End Switching System, SmartVista Back-Office Card and Merchant Management System and SmartVista CardGen Card Personalization System. These provide a fully functional platform for Visa card issuing and acquiring. Presently, Energobank is a Visa International Associated Member, sponsored by Ukreximbank and plans to enter MasterCard Worldwide in the near future.

Through the successful modernization of its processing center, Energobank has acquired a reliable tool to provide comprehensive customer services both in its branches and via ATM and merchant networks. The bank plans to continuously develop its range of self-service offerings by allowing its customers to make funds transfers and payments to different service providers with the use of ATMs and transactional kiosks.

“The main aim of Energobank’s processing center modernization was to obtain a modern, fully functional solution capable of supporting the current card business needs of the bank and to provide a secure technological platform for further development of its retail services. This aim has been totally achieved in cooperation with BPC-Ukraine”, said Denis Novikov, Deputy Chairman of Board of Energobank.

“For several years the SmartVista solution has been proving facilities for efficient management of complex card products, different delivery channels, and high volumes of operations. I am sure that the successful launch of the SmartVista based processing center will begin a new stage of Energobank’s development in the retail financial services market”, commented Vasily Volynskiy, Director of BPC-Ukraine.
