Under the agreement, Brocaâs SAMS will be incorporated into Zone, MOLâs mobile portal created by ISL. MOLâs mobile customers will then be able to pay for mobile content through Zone, using MOLâs top up credit card, the Freedom MasterCard. Customers will be able to top up mobile phones, transfer funds in Peer-to-Peer (P2P) transactions, pay for online gaming and video streaming, as well as receive SMS alerts and access MOLâs instant messenger service, âZone Messengerâ. Ticketing functionality will also be added next year for GSC Cinemas in Malaysia.
All transactions will be based on Brocaâs Secure Advanced Messaging Service (SAMS), which uses patented cyclical encryption technology to ensure that no personal details or financial information can be taken off the handset or intercepted over the air. SAMS is also handset and network independent, ensuring maximum usability.
