PCI DSS is the payment card industry security requirement for entities that process, transmit and/or store cardholder data, and has been endorsed by all the major card brands - Visa International, MasterCard Worldwide, Discover Network, American Express and JCB. Payment service provider compliance requirements are segmented into three levels based on the number of transactions processed and/or transmitted annually.
Key to the agreement is providing travel industry stakeholders access to required vulnerability scanning, and remediation services through Trustwave's TrustKeeper® web portal, and where applicable, at attractive, affordable pricing.
Further to this agreement, ATC, along with several cooperating industry organizations, including ARTA, CSTAR, TravelSoft, USTAR, and WebCanada will provide an authentication "seal" under a global industry program called VerifyPCI® Travel Services Merchant (TSM). The VerifyPCI TSM program will permit travel services merchants which are PCI compliant, having passed the system scanning verification required under the PCI DSS, to place an authentication seal on their Website or other e- commerce or web-based application. The seal will provide real-time reporting of compliance parameters from data handed-off by Trustwave's TrustKeeper PCI compliance tools.
