Wojtek Laskowski will head the Australian operation. Laskowski has great experience in the market data business, dealing with local and international vendors and independently optimising market data provisions for Australian companies.
Peter Fruitema, co-founder and director at Screen, states: âWojtek is really familiar with the Australian market and has an excellent record in professionally managing market data. Both qualifications are a must to succeed in this market. We are delighted to have Wojtek on board.â
âAs INFOmatch is really quite flexible, Screen will be able to immediately leap on to specific requirements for the Australian market,â Laskowski says. âBy the end of 2008 we would like to think three to five larger firms will have purchased and installed the system.â
Screen Australia will be responsible for sales and first-line support for INFOmatch in Australia and New Zealand.
The launch of Screen Australia follows recent announcements of further international expansions. Last year, Screen INFOmatch started strategic partnerships with both Axiom Group (US) and DNA Financial Systems Limited (Hong Kong). âSince our establishment, Screen has had an international focus. We have managed to develop a customer base among the most demanding financial institutions", says Peter Fruitema. "The majority of our customers are based in Europe; however we have a worldwide exposure. Now, through Screen Australia, Screen gains all of the elements necessary to continue our global expansion to Australia and New Zealand.â
