Tiger's Managing Director Joanne Lewis explains their rationale:
"We are well known for our specialist investment management consultancy skills, based on an expert product knowledge and implementation track record for a wide cross-section of clients. By establishing the Operations Division, we recognised that there was an additional area of expertise that we could provide as part of a complete end-to-end approach, particularly in response to the trend for Middle and Back Office outsourcing. We understand fully the product base offered by asset management institutions, along with the changing nature of bringing these products to market. The pressure is now far greater to achieve launches more quickly, requiring an ability to identify opportunities and move faster for competitive advantage. Tiger can support every link in the chain - delivering a full product capability as well as a dedicated operational support function. We are delighted to welcome Chris on board and are confident that this addition is going to benefit our clients as well as take Tiger to a new level."
As Head of Operations, Chris Muir brings more than 20 years' expertise in senior operations roles, from both a private wealth management and institutional background. Chris' ability to understand the issues that Chief Operating Officers face is fundamental to Tiger's Operations resource. He and his team will focus on all aspects of asset management operations, from new product launches, operational risk reviews, technology platforms, supporting fund managers' requirements - all from an expert operations perspective. Prior to joining Tiger, Chris worked at managing director level within the stock broking sector. His career includes acting as Group Operations Director at Brewin Dolphin, where he was responsible for implementing a programme to reorganise and streamline the entire operational infrastructure after the acquisition of Wise Speke. He was previously Director of Administration at Wise Speke.
