Zeus Technology Wins Cambridge Computer Lab Ring Award

Cambridge, UK - 21 March 2007

Zeus Technology today announced that it has won Product of the Year 2007 from the Cambridge Computer Lab Ring Hall of Fame Awards for its groundbreaking virtual traffic management solution ZXTM Virtual Appliance (ZXTM VA).

The Hall of Fame Awards were established by the Ring, which is the Cambridge University Computer Laboratory Graduate Association, to celebrate the success of companies founded by Computer Laboratory graduates. In winning Product of the Year, Zeus joins 148 companies that have now been catalogued in the Ring Hall of Fame.

Stephen Allott, a member of the Governing Council Member of the Ring, states: “Competition for the Product of the Year Award this year was tough, with extremely strong products from companies including XenSource, Datanomic and Codian making the shortlist. But in the end, the judges were impressed that Zeus Technology identified an opportunity in the emerging virtualisation market and developed an innovative and unique product that has generated significant industry interest.”

Damian Reeves is the founder and CTO of Zeus Technology and a graduate of the University of Cambridge. He states: “Cambridge has long been recognized for fostering some of the industry’s most innovative technologies and companies. Zeus Technology is extremely proud of its heritage and association with the University, and it is an honor to receive this recognition from the Cambridge Computer Lab Ring."
