First vendor signs for B.I.S.S. SEPA Benchmarking

London, UK - 17 July 2007

B.I.S.S. Research, the exclusive research company offering a unique benchmarking of services and systems in the financial services sector, today announced that the first software vendor has been signed for the B.I.S.S. SEPA Benchmarking and Accreditation.

Gary Wright, C.E.O., B.I.S.S. Research and creator of the B.I.S.S. business benchmarking concept said “SEPA is one of Europe’s most important projects helping to create a single financial services market, which involves payment banks, clearing houses and their corporate customers.

There are well documented problems with industry implementation projects and this benchmarking is an important method for bringing transparency of capability and cross market knowledge for all concerned. B.I.S.S. Research has been working with TWIST to produce a unique benchmarking template; the successful vendors will be publicly announced and will receive the B.I.S.S. Accreditation Logo for proving their systems under a strenuous third party assessment.

Our accreditation methodology proves the systems functionality of software vendors purporting to have SEPA solutions and of course dismisses those with smoke and mirrors.

We are pleased to have agreed our first SEPA benchmarking of a software vendors system. Under the contractual terms we can not disclose the vendor until the benchmark process has been completed. We anticipate the first results will be announced in October. ”
