NetDefend Firewall passes stringent ICSA testing criteria, demonstrating Link’s commitment to security

Leading the way in the provision of secure network products, D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumers and business, today announced that it has received the ICSA Labs Corporate-Level Firewall Certification for the NetDefend DFL-2500 Firewall. ICSA Labs is a trusted international authority in the information security industry which assesses security products to aid customers in selecting solid, reliable solutions.

In order to attain the ICSA certification, the D-Link DFL-2500 NetDefend Firewall was required to pass a series of rigorous tests, including system installation and configuration, setting security policies, system management, system logging, event testing and port security. Not only did the NetDefend Firewall pass these tests, but it earned praise from ICSA Labs for its unique features in the web administration interface that allow administrators to safely make changes to the firewall’s configuration remotely.

Osbert Ong, Product Manager from D-Link said: “This industry-recognised honour validates the security and reliability of D-Link’s NetDefend DFL-2500 Firewall. The award is a reflection of the meticulous attention that went into the DFL-2500’s design and development to ensure that it offers customers the performance and peace of mind they have come to expect from D-Link’s range of security solutions.”

D-Link’s NetDefend Firewalls can be used for small-to-medium businesses (SMB) and larger organisations. They offer unparalleled price/performance in an easy-to-deploy security solution, allowing employee workstations and critical servers to operate in a secure and reliable environment.
