CSC Awards Protection Industry Contributors

12 July 2007

Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) named Kevin Carr of Lifesearch, CSC Protection Review Personality of the Year at this year’s Protection Review Dinner, which followed the Protection Review’s conference at London’s Café Royal last night.

Carr’s tireless campaigning on behalf of the protection industry singled him out for this prestigious achievement, which was presented to him by the Association of British Insurers’ Nick Kirwan. Carr is the fourth person to receive this award which began in 2004.

CSC also awarded Professor Marius Barnard, a founder of critical illness insurance and renowned cardiac surgeon a Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of his enormous contribution to the insurance protection industry.

David Lister, Vice President, Financial Services EMEA, CSC commented, “We’re delighted to have sponsored these two awards and both winners could not have been more worthy. In the ‘personality’ category the competition was extremely tough but Kevin’s dedication to the cause of protection in the public arena was, in our view, the deciding factor.”
