In his new role as general manager, Fancher will set the business strategy and technology direction, as well as manage the day-to-day operations of the Endpoint Exchange Network. Fancher brings many years of executive management experience directing businesses, operations, and product management at Metavante Image Solutions and prior to that at VECTORsgi, a Metavante company, and at Gilson & Associates.
"Jimâs reputation and 20-plus years of experience in the payments and check imaging environment made him the ideal candidate for the general manager position," said Gary Nelson, president, Metavante Image Solutions. "Jimâs strategic thinking, strong management skills and market expertise will best support our expanding presence within the check image exchange and electronic clearing and settlement market."
"I am honored to be representing Endpoint Exchange as the new general manager," said Fancher. "Since its launch in 2002, Endpoint Exchange has led the image exchange industry and paved the way for the transition from paper to electronic clearing and settlement. Endpoint Exchange works with some of the largest financial institutions in the country, including several top 10 U.S. banks. I am very excited to join this innovative team and an organization that continues to drive the industryâs move to national check image exchange."
Jeff Vetterick, previously general manager, will assume the new position of vice president of sales for Endpoint Exchange. Vetterick led Endpoint Exchange through a record-setting year in 2006, signing 12 of the top 25 U.S. banks and growing the monthly image-item volume over 700 percent. Prior to joining the Endpoint Exchange Network, Vetterick was vice president of marketing for AFS, a Metavante company.
"Jeff has extensive expertise in payments and check image exchange and will continue to be a significant force in expanding the Endpoint Exchange Networkâs role in the payments industry," said Nelson.
"I have enjoyed leading Endpoint Exchange in making the necessary migration from entrepreneurial startup to the largest, most versatile, and interoperable image exchange network," said Vetterick. "The transition of ongoing business and operations leadership to someone with Jimâs expertise reflects a necessary progression of the business. I look forward to focusing more of my time on increasing network membership, while Jim will make an outstanding strategic addition to our team."
