Avaloq and T-Systems agree partnership for wide-ranging ASP services

Avaloq and T-Systems have reached a new partnership agreement for ASP services. T-Systems will take on the role of general contractor for the IT implementation, operation and application management of the Avaloq Banking System.

Through a sub-licensing agreement, Avaloq will make it possible for T-Systems to offer banks wide-ranging services as an application service provider. In such cases T-Systems will take on the project implementation, IT infrastructure operation and management of the Avaloq application.

ASP customers benefit by having to outsource IT activities to only one partner. This simplifies contract arrangements and sets clear responsibilities. Customers also gain the advantage of having an experienced provider for standard bank solutions and a professional ICT service company as their partner for the implementation, operation and maintenance of the Avaloq Banking System. Gregor Stücheli, CEO of T-Systems Schweiz AG, adds: “The new ‘T-Systems Avaloq Banking Solution’ ASP service is an ideal combination of skills and cost advantages.”

Both companies are targeting the growing need of many banks to outsource part of their IT processes in order to concentrate on their core business. Francisco Fernandez, CEO of Avaloq, notes: “New sourcing models are appearing constantly. The Avaloq Banking System is a standard solution which provides the flexibility and robust architecture required for new models.”
