Mumbai - 10 January 2007

Announcement underscores Datamatics Limited’s capability in modernizing IT applications of large corporates

In order to reduce the ongoing cost of managing complex and increasingly heterogeneous enterprise application environments, Datamatics Limited and Oracle announced joint initiatives for Application Management and Modernization services. Continuing their long-standing partnership, the two companies will integrate existing service offerings to help clients simplify, standardize and modernize applications to adapt to ongoing business changes.

Applications Modernization is a unique integration of best practices, repeatable processes and methodologies designed to work efficiently and cohesively to reduce the time and cost to migrate legacy applications to contemporary platforms while safeguarding the core value of legacy IT systems. Datamatics has seen tremendous growth in the areas of application management. It expects that its integrated offerings will assist its clients to reduce IT costs and increase the business impact of IT.

With this alliance, Datamatics Limited has joined a select group of OMA System Integrators. The OMA System Integrators are organizations that have strong competence in the area of modernization and hence can provide highly useful experience and advice on a modernization project. Oracle Modernization Alliance partners are part of the Oracle PartnerNetwork Program. The partnership reiterates Datamatics’ capability to “prime” IT modernization projects.
Arvind Sirrah, Senior Vice President who heads the USA operations for Datamatics Limited said, “As an Oracle Modernization Alliance System Integrator partner, Datamatics is poised to enter into a new phase of business growth. Many user organizations are looking to modernize their IT applications to become even more agile in their operations and competitive in their market offerings, while not discarding their existing systems entirely.”

Sirrah added, “Our customers have shown high regard for our services and this announcement is attributed to their continued faith in our capabilities.”
Pradeep Sen, Executive Director, Datamatics Limited, said, “From a client perspective, this alliance combines products and services helps address a critical need for integrated engagement and service delivery. Clients can lower their total cost of ownership, receive best-in-class applications management, and source from a single, accountable IT provider.”
