Revolutionary New Enterprise Workflow Management Application Increases Efficiencies in all Phases of the Loan Process

Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (NYSE:FIS) today announced the launch of FIS Desktop™, the company’s enterprise workflow, document and expense management offering. FIS Desktop provides mortgage lenders, servicers and investors with powerful business management technology that helps manage the entire post-origination loan cycle, from loan acquisition and boarding through loss mitigation and real estate-owned (REO) property disposition.

“Like many industries, mortgage servicing operations struggle to integrate multiple, function-specific technology solutions across the enterprise. A lack of integration among workflow, imaging and expense management applications typically created silos in an organization, making it virtually impossible to respond to market trends,” said Greg Whitworth, president of FIS Loan Portfolio Solutions. “Three years ago, FIS launched a major initiative to collapse our industry leading process, imaging and expense management tools into a single, thin-client platform. For the first time, there is an enterprise workflow, imaging and expense management solution that is fully integrated with major service bureaus, such as FIS’ Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP). From the moment a loan boards, clients can now use these tools to manage complex tasks assigned to internal or vendor operations.”

AEGIS Mortgage Corporation, one of the first mortgage servicers to deploy the integrated components of FIS Desktop, indicated it is experiencing increased efficiency and significantly reduced operating costs as a result of the platform’s fully integrated document and electronic invoice management capabilities.

For AEGIS, combining these components eliminated paper invoices associated with liquidating real-estate assets. Paige Holen, vice president AEGIS Mortgage Corporation, said, “We’ve faced challenges with storing and reconciling multiple paper documents and the FIS Desktop is the first in the industry to combine these functions into a single, seamless environment. We look forward to the time and money we’ll save with Desktop’s invoice, receipt reconciling tools and user friendly interface.”

By combining these historically isolated technologies, the FIS Desktop offers a seamless and secure online access point for these tools, enabling users to operate at maximum efficiency, while minimizing risk and virtually eliminating the need for paper. With over 60 active servicing clients, thousands of vendors and more than 20,000 industry accounts, the FIS Desktop is the industry’s largest servicing bureau integration technology, processing over 5 million Web-based transactions each month through seamless integration with FIS’ MSP and other servicing bureau applications and providers.
