Forrester notes that Fiserv âshows a number of strong points around product strategy, platform agility, and architecture and development.â The report stressed, âAs a strong performer among retail banking platforms, Fiservâs ICBS (international comprehensive banking system) is a good shortlist for banks that need a clearly identified back-end functionality; are seeking an agile banking platform that is able to cope with changing business needs and that supports IFX standards; or want to leverage their iSeries experience or move to Linux.â
Fiserv earned a five out of five for its functional coverage of the banking platform regarding sales. It includes solutions for personalization, analytical CRM, operational CRM, product customization and decision support system. It was also ranked highly for enabling banks to respond rapidly to changing markets and regulations and to integrated systems and channels while providing front-to-back business processes in a financial services environment.

Forrester evaluated the top five vendors against 83 criteria, which were grouped into the following three high-level buckets: current offering, strategy and market presence. Fiservâs ICBS solution was chosen to be evaluated after meeting all the initial criteria, including functional coverage of a large part of the functional map for banking, a forward-looking architectural approach, sound success in past, global delivery capability and banking platform commitment. The report concluded that Fiserv was a âstrong performerâ with no peaks or valleys.
