enerbility eCM 3.0 implements the EFET eCM standard version 3.2, which covers OTC confirmations for power, gas and emissions trading in the European market. The executed certification tests document that the communication between systems based on the ebXML Messaging Service is fully compliant to the ebXML profile as defined by the EFET standards. Furthermore, business aspects, such as proper execution of business processes and matching of electronic confirmations, have been verified in the certification process. enerbility eCM 3.0 communicates with any other certified vendor product. enerbility has proven interoperability with other vendor products already in summer 2006 by first going live of a customers' system with a trading partner using another vendors' system.
Markus Hummel, Director of enerbility, about the successful certification "I think, that EFET provides real value to their members as they managed to create a certified standard. This not only acts as a further driver for innovation, it also serves as a basis for a wide range of interoperable future applications in addition to the current product suite."
Andreas Hausleitner, Technical Director of enerbility, adds "As an engineer I am happy to have an additional proof that interoperability between systems is something just to be verified by a test suite to benefit the customers. Business people are often wary of interoperability issues, but such issues can always be overcome with stringent standard setting as well as proper compliance from the vendor side".
