4MAT and Public Jobs Direct form Joint Venture

London - 30 August 2007

4MAT, the UK’s original developer of web solutions for the recruitment industry, and Public Jobs Direct, the public sector job board of Eden Brown, have joined forces to develop and market the web offering which has become synonymous with public sector vacancies in local government across the UK.

The joint venture is the first of its kind in the recruitment sector, and one which may set the trend for future developments of this nature. 4MAT designed and developed the original web site for Public Jobs Direct and has now agreed to a significant stake in the business in return for its ongoing expertise and technical acumen. Eden Brown will continue to market and maintain the business.

James Saunders, MD of 4MAT comments:

“This enterprise is of significant strategic importance to our business, and one which we believe may set the standard for similar entrepreneurial undertakings. This is the first time that a web design company and a recruiter have joined forces in a commercial venture of this type. PJD has an unrivalled understanding and reputation in the Local Government recruitment market, and one which we are confident to join forces with.”

Ian Wolter, CEO of Eden Brown adds:

“4MAT has been a long-term supplier, and we have developed an excellent relationship. We’re delighted to take this client/supplier relationship to the next level and cement our relationship in a mutually beneficial JV. This unique enterprise will enable us to focus on our core competences, and 4MAT to do the same. The end goal is to have the most technically advanced, commercially successful web offering on the market.”

“We aim to grow the number of local authorities from 10 currently to reach 20 within 6 months,” concludes James.
