Software delivery leader Microgen Plc is pleased to announce the recent purchase of Oscar, a wealth management administration system, from the Channel Island’s largest independent software development company, Cronus Consultancy Limited.

Built using Microsoft technology, the Oscar system was developed as an off the shelf trust administration solution, providing an innovative, efficient and effective system for administering clients. As a flexible solution it helps businesses to comply with the most rigorous of regulatory requirements. It is the first system of its kind to be developed on Microsoft’s flagship technology ‘.Net’ and has been fully certified by Microsoft.

Microgen Asset & Wealth Management Managing Director, Tom Crawford said: “Microgen is delighted to have the opportunity of acquiring the Oscar code, which we consider to be of a very high standard. Having watched the progress of the product from afar we felt it would make an exceptional addition to our already strong portfolio of products. This will ensure we maintain our position at the forefront of software solution delivery into the wealth management market.”

As a global provider of software, services and solutions Microgen is ranked in the Finextra50 Fintech Index and works in key markets including banking, asset & wealth management, commercial, public sector, utilities and billing & database management.

Cronus Sales and Marketing Director, Mike Whitfield said: “I am delighted that Microgen, as such a major player, has selected and purchased our product as a system of choice for the future. We believe that partnering with a global player such as Microgen will result in numerous opportunities and new markets being made available and will enable us to focus on our bespoke delivery of software solutions.”
