Staff&Line, the European leader in IT Management, is setting its sights on growing the UK market with the recent appointment of a new managing director, Gregory Lefort. Gregoryâs remit is to rapidly expand sales of Staff&Lineâs market leading web-based IT management solution, EasyVista, particularly in the upper mid-market enterprise space.
Since acquiring SAM UK in November 2006, Staff&Line has had a footprint on UK soil. The acquisition enabled Staff&Line to quickly establish a presence in this market, gaining local technical expertise and a small customer base. This made it possible for the company to hit the ground running and Staff&Line UK has already started to deploy EasyVista to new customers, announcing three significant contract wins at the start of the year.
Gregory Lefort will ensure that the visibility and profile of Staff&Line UK increases significantly in 2007, as he executes on an aggressive go-to-market strategy. Since its introduction, EasyVista has appealed to a broad cross section of customers and partners alike and as a result Staff&Line has already sold the solution to a number of customers, such as Leonard Cheshire, Metropolitan Networks and Johnson Workplace Management Limited (JVML). Sales of this innovative solution are expected to rapidly ramp up in 2007 in line with the forecast growth anticipated in the ITM market.
Commenting on the appointment Jamal Labed, COO Staff&Line, said: âIn the past year, Staff&Line has effectively executed against an aggressive three-year business strategy to acquire like-minded organisations in Europe, in order to extend our reach and leadership position in the ITM market. In 2007 we expect to see a significant sales contribution from the subsidiaries, we are looking for turnover growth in the order of 30 to 40 percent and Gregoryâs appointment will help us to achieve our goal in the UK market.â
Gregory Lefort, Staff&Line UK managing director commented: âThis is an exciting opportunity which plays to my strengths and my experience in developing new markets. I have extensive knowledge of handling Europe-wide sales, and alliance management. In particular Iâve worked at length in the UK, Italy, Germany and The Netherlands, developing and managing an international sales team.â
âThe first few EasyVista sales in the UK demonstrate that there is much interest in this innovative out-of-the-box web-based solution. EasyVista has been ITIL designed from the ground up and Staff&Line is one of only a handful of software providers that can claim to have products that are verified as meeting the Pink Elephant mandatory requirements for ITIL compatibility. We therefore have a first-class product, a highly experienced and rapidly expanding UK team and an opportunity in 2007 to really make our mark in the ITM space.â
David Silsby and Graham Sharp previously founders and directors of SAM UK will work closely with Gregory, helping to drive Staff&Line UK forward. David takes on the role of Business Development Director, assuming responsibility for marketing, sales and channel partner activity for EasyVista. Graham has been appointed Director of Staff&Line UKâs Service Business Unit which provides services and support to the installed customer base. David and Graham have over 20 years of IT Management experience between them and will continue to be a huge asset to the team.
Gregory brings with him extensive knowledge of operating in both Northern and Southern Europe. He has worked with multi-cultural teams, spanning many territories and understands better than most the cultural nuances between countries. Before joining Staff&Line UK, Gregory headed up Northern Europe for ORSYP, a leading Enterprise software provider. Prior to this Gregory was also responsible for sales development and marketing at Thales Training & Simulation and Microsoft. Gregory stated his career in the IT industry in a marketing role at Microsoft and helped to launch Windows 95 to the French market.
