Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. (NYSE: MMP), has selected Cape ClearÂ® Software, the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Platform leader delivering on the promise of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), to enable a comprehensive services-based On-Demand Integration platform that will centralize, standardize, and automate information flow across legacy, ad hoc, and third-party applications spanning 75 remote locations. Magellan selected Cape Clear in partnership with Infosys Technologies Limited (NASDAQ:INFY) because it is an On-Demand Integration solution capable of service enabling, orchestrating, and clustering complex heterogeneous environments through a single unified platform.
Magellan chose to move to a SOA to take advantage of the reusability of Web services and reduce the maintenance burden of supporting numerous point-to-point integrations, as is typical with an EAI solution. The Cape Clear ESB Platform will be service enabling several applications and databases, eliminating manual processes, routing data based on ID fields, and orchestrating business processes.
