Responding to increased customer demand for paperless working environments and smarter information management, ibis s2 Document Manager addresses the banking industry's growing need to reduce information and paper overload whilst adhering to increasing regulatory measures.
"With growing pressure on our clients to comply with complex industry regulations, a seamless reporting capability that combines electronic and paper-based documents helps to reduce many of the headaches that operations staff are facing today," said David Carruthers, Director of the IBIS Division at Financial Objects.
"ibis s2 Document Manager fully integrates document storage and retrieval with the day-to- day operations of our core banking system. At the click of the mouse the user can move between handling any business activity within ibis s2, to accessing the underlying supporting documentation. The integration of our document management system with ibis s2 helps customers further improve the efficiency of their day-to-day operations and business continuity planning."
ibis s2 Document Manager substantially reduces the administration entailed in managing the large volumes of documents, in multiple paper and electronic formats, typically associated with banking operations.
With this new module, ibis s2 users have instant access to all relevant documents and data from directly within the ibis s2 application, without the need to initiate a separate software application.
There has been significant interest in this new module from the ibis banking community, with the London subsidiary of Indonesia's largest bank, Bank Mandiri, being the first client to purchase the ibis s2 Document Manager. Andrew Cole, Deputy General Manager of MIS and IT at Bank Mandiri said: "We take the issue of disaster recovery very seriously and felt that ibis s2 Document Manager would simplify the administrative processes of storing, filing, tracking and sharing of our paperwork. My colleagues and I were genuinely impressed with the product's flexibility and user friendly interface, and felt that it would be more than capable of meeting our business needs."
Financial Objects anticipates that several more high profile customers will be announced later in the year.
genisys has been integrated with a number of Financial Objects' solutions in the same way to offer fully automated document management facilities within a single application. The solution is also deployed as a standalone solution in more than 300 organisations across a range of industries including healthcare, transport and logistics.
ibis s2 is designed to serve the needs of banks running international, retail, commercial and private banking operations. It provides in depth business functionality to meet the requirements for complex banking transactions.
