FileNet and Capgemini Formalise Alliance

Uxbridge; London, UK - 28 September 2006

Partners will develop business process and enterprise content management solutions to drive return on investment (“ROI”) in UK public and financial services sectors

FileNet Corporation, the leading provider of Enterprise Content and Business Process Management, and Capgemini UK plc (“Capgemini”) have today announced that they are expanding their partnership -- through a strategic alliance agreement in the UK -- after successfully completing joint customer projects. FileNet will be a preferred partner for Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Business Process Management (BPM) for Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of Consulting, Technology and Outsourcing services.

Capgemini will develop market specific ECM and BPM solutions based on the FileNet P8 platform and FileNet Business Process Framework, a set of FileNet tools and methodologies enabling rapid solution development.

Capgemini and FileNet will focus on delivering ROI to UK organisations in local government, central government, financial services and insurance, which are looking to improve efficiency, increase productivity and manage compliance. Solutions will be based on FileNet’s integrated ECM, BPM and Business Activity Monitoring systems, which provide fast and secure access to all enterprise content, irrespective of its type, format or location, to support managed business processes which can also be monitored and measured for continual improvement.

"Capgemini is at the leading edge of business process improvement for many of the largest and most successful companies worldwide,” said Brenda Morris, Regional Vice President, FileNet, Europe North. "Our two organisations share a mutual vision of the benefit that managing all enterprise information and business processes within one platform has on return on investment and, for the private sector, shareholder value.”

“FileNet offers an integrated ECM and BPM platform that has evolved over many years of development rather than through combination of acquired products and systems,” said Rana Ghosh-Roy, Director of Information Management, Capgemini. “Previous experience has shown that FileNet provides a robust enterprise platform and its Business Process Framework has enabled us to turn information into intelligence for customers in our chosen markets.”

Ghosh-Roy added:

"The announcement on last month that IBM intends to acquire FileNet further enhances the alliance between Capgemini and FileNet in developing market leading ECM and BPM software solutions. Capgemini already has a long standing relationship with IBM: this is supported by substantial investment in our 22 Accelerated Delivery Centres in 13 countries around the world, including the UK and India, which speed up the delivery and quality of our solutions."
