The award winners were judged based on votes for the nominees, and were announced at a ceremony in New York last night to celebrate Operations Managementâs 5th Annual Dream Team Awards. Nominees in the Vendor of the Year category included T-Zero, Information Mosaic and SunGard Transaction Network.
Leo Schlinkert, Executive Vice President and Head of Trade Processing and Distribution at Markit, said: âWinning Operations Managementâs Vendor of the Year Award is a real honour, and reinforces the uniqueness of our trade processing service. Not only do we cover all instruments in every OTC derivative asset class, but we process over 40,000 trades every month. At a time of heightened concern among regulators in the U.S. and in Europe over the infrastructure failing to keep pace with these rapidly growing markets, we are very focused on helping our clients reduce operational risk by offering them an optimal post-trade processing solution.â
Jason Parker, Head of Middle Office at CQS, commented: âWith CQS being the first Europe-based fund manager to subscribe to Markitâs Communicator platform, we are delighted to hear they have been voted No. 1 for this trade processing service. We chose to subscribe due to its ability to provide a comprehensive overview of trade workflow across asset class, instrument and counterparty, thus significantly enhancing operational efficiency and control.â
Markit is the leading provider of independent data, valuations and OTC derivative trade processing to the global financial and commodities markets. Its products and services are used by over 600 institutions to enhance trading operations, reduce risk and manage compliance.
