Thomson Financial shared its award with Reuters, ahead of other shortlisted vendors including Bloomberg, Proquote and Dealogic. The winners were announced at the Financial News its gala event on Wednesday 20th September 2006 at Merchant Taylor's Hall in the City of London. Financial News compiled its short list based on firms nominating themselves and in consultation with industry experts. The winners were chosen by a panel of ten judges who are independent analysts and consultants.
