VSoft Corporation, a global information and technology provider of process-improvement tools for financial institutions, announced that Cornerstone Community Bank, a $350 million asset bank serving the Chattanooga area with five branches, has chosen to implement its eDesk Capture, Genesis (Check 21), Archive, Returns, and Merchant Capture solutions.
VSoftâs Check 21 compliant eDesk solution allows Cornerstone to exchange images received from its branch locations or printing substitute checks if an endpoint cannot receive the image. Cornerstone has experienced increased time efficiencies and labor cost savings by enabling enhanced search, display and distribution of check images.
âSince implementing VSoftâs eDesk solution, we have improved back-office efficiency by eliminating the need for couriers to transport checks from remote sites to the Fed, â said Frank Hughes, president and chief operating officer, Cornerstone Community Bank. âMerchant Capture allows us to exchange check images by placing check scanners in our corporate customersâ offices. Not only have we been able to cut back courier costs, but we now have the ability to expand our market region to customers as far as 200 miles away.â
Before selecting VSoftâs Check 21 solution, Cornerstone implemented VSoftâs imaging system four years ago allowing the bank to extend the deposit window for its customerâs to the close of business. Customer service improvements included an additional two-hour deposit window as well as the ability to search archived images. The latest VSoft implementation adds Check 21 compliance updates and imaging capabilities.
