InvestEdge Enables Wealth Managers to More Efficiently Manage Large Numbers of High-value Accounts

Pittsburgh, PA - 11 October 2006

InvestEdge, Inc., the fastest-growing provider of wealth management solutions to large banks, trust companies, brokerage firms, and financial advisors, today announced the availability of InvestEdge ASP Version 6.5. The latest release targets rapidly growing investment firms seeking ways to more efficiently manage large numbers of high-value portfolios.

InvestEdge ASP 6.5 is the wealth management industry’s only front-office platform to enable mass customization of portfolios with a high degree of precision. Through the system’s new “Groups’ features, investment advisors now have tools to categorize portfolios with shared characteristics, then conduct trading-related tasks across them simultaneously.

For example, portfolios with a similar investment strategy, investment objective, market value, or other common trait can be easily classified into groups. Advisors can then perform functions such as risk monitoring and tax optimization, block trading, and portfolio rebalancing across the groups en masse.

InvestEdge ASP 6.5 builds on the firm’s alliance with Northfield Information Systems, whose Open Optimization software enables frontline investment managers to monitor portfolio risk, optimize portfolios to models with minimal turnover and capital gains, and evaluate the impact of potential trades. Previously, the InvestEdge ASP/Northfield combination compared each tax-sensitive portfolio to its specified target, and alerted advisors when portfolio-level risk statistics were exceeded. The latest release substantially streamlines the optimization process with continuous portfolio monitoring across the grouped accounts, which can number in the thousands.

InvestEdge ASP also now provides enhanced trading features. The system enables portfolio managers to select a group of accounts and consolidate all proposed trades for those accounts into block trades. Likewise, the system’s Group Rebalancing features enable mass automation. New functions facilitate the categorization of accounts into groups, and provide tools for rebalancing all assets in the account, or only the equity portion.

“Advisor productivity and business scalability continue to be the top priorities at large investment firms,” said Bob Stewart, CEO of InvestEdge. “Front-office technology serves a critical role in addressing these objectives. Our latest release is the perfect example. All of our new features automate what were previously time-consuming processes, and provide opportunities to effectively manage more accounts with the same or fewer resources.”
