DBFS, a leading provider of integration software for the financial markets, are pleased to announce the release of the Remote Command Processor (RCP Connector) for their integration product: Engage.
Engage is a unique connectivity solution designed to enable the transportation of information between disparate core systems and external parties. The addition of the RCP Connector increases Engages ability to manage workflows by allowing scripts to be executed on the remote data-source or data-destination systems.
Brian McNulty, Head of Business Development says, "The RCP Connector has been developed around our clients' needs to launch and manage remote processes before or after a data transfer activity. These processes need to be able to be executed on the remote machine either because of security issues, platform or application incompatibilities or simply because the processes need console-level access to a remote application. The RCP Connector is a very powerful addition to an already powerful product, and vastly increases the extent of upstream and downstream integration processes that Engage can initiate and control."
Initial uses of the RCP Connector have been to manage and launch Expect Scripts to automate Hiportfolio processes as part of a business processes integration.
"The uses of the RCP Connector are as diverse as the Clients' needs. As well as business process automation, the tool could be used for system administration purposes, or even as a resource during disaster recovery." added Brian McNulty.
The RCP Connector will work on Windows, UNIX, LINUX and all operating systems that support Java.
