The Royal Bank of Scotland and its subsidiary RBS Greenwich Capital are pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Ruskin as Head of International Strategy for the FX business.
Alan previously worked both as the overall Research Director and as the Managing Director for 4Cast in the Americas, where he has been since 1998. Alan was instrumental in building 4Cast over the last seven years to a point where they were recently voted the "Best vendor for research and strategy" in the 2005 FX Week annual awards.
Prior to that Alan was one of the three founders of IDEAglobal in 1989 and designed IDEAS's first FX product. Alan started his career at MMS where he was the global manager of the first premier on-line currency service.
Alan will be responsible for the FX strategy output from RBS Greenwich Capital and also will support other businesses needs for international views and strategy. Alan will report directly to Graham Broyd in the US and to David Simmonds, Global Head of FX Strategy in London.

Alan is a South African by birth, educated in Cape Town and also at the London School of Economics and his strategy and research career has been split evenly between time in London and in New York.
