Dublin, 10th January 2006: Mentec International, a leading provider of integrated financial management, ERP and eBusiness solutions, has announced that its recently acquired UK companies are to be rebranded under the Mentec name.
The announcement comes after a very successful 2005 for Mentec, which saw the ongoing integration of its UK-based divisions, Xdat and Sytation, which were acquired in May 2005 and December 2004 respectively. Xdat Software Ltd was the third Microsoft Great Plains reseller to be acquired by Mentec. Back in 2001, Mentec also acquired Ireland's largest reseller Sequel Financial Systems.
Mentecâs managing director, Kevin Haverty, said: "During 2005 we made a number of key investments as part of our commitment to delivering the highest levels of service. These have included adding further skills and expertise around the Microsoft Great Plains product, overhauling our support desk operations and introducing a new range of related products and services. We have now merged Mentec, Sytation and Xdatâs operations into a single entity. To reflect this all group companies will trade as Mentec International Ltd."
More than a simple name change, the rebrand emphasises the way Mentecâs expertise in software development and technical services is being replicated across all group companies. This expertise was highlighted in 2005 when Mentecâs work with Microsoft .NET for the Irish forestry services company, Coillte, received the Best Government Project Award. The â¬9 million project replaced Coillteâs legacy systems with an infrastructure that will support the organisationâs current, and planned, operations.
With its position as the second largest Microsoft Great Plains partner in Europe now well established, Mentec will use 2006 to refine its proposition and continue its impressive growth across all business and technology areas.
