More than 600 people are expected to attend the seventh Hedge Funds World Middle East Conference next month, where they will hear from more than 40 speakers from across the industry.
Man Group chief executive Stanley Fink will give the conference's keynote address and speeches will also be given by David Knott, chief executive of the Dubai Financial Services Authority, and former vice-chairman of the US Federal Reserve and chief executive of Vega Institutional Advisers, David Mullins.
Alternative investments group, Man Investments, is the event's principal sponsor and core themes of the 2006 conference will include long term investments and hot money, the global economy and world markets and sourcing and evaluating hedge funds, AME Info reports.
Antoine Massad, Man Investments head of Middle East and Asia, commented: "The past year has been an important one for the hedge funds industry in the Arab region due to the positive development in the regional financial landscape."
The Hedge Funds World Middle East Conference runs from March 7th to 8th at the Jumeirah resort hotel in Dubai, UAE.
