SNOWBOUND SOFTWARE IMPROVES AFP SUPPORT BY ALLOWING USERS TO CUSTOMIZE FONTS

Watertown, MA (February 22, 2006) – Snowbound Software, a leading provider of performance-driven imaging solutions, today announced support for external font maps for AFP documents. This provides companies with a powerful tool to standardize how AFP documents display by overriding the internal font objects and to alter and display custom fonts.

“Many of our customers work with AFP documents and templates as part of their workflow,” said James Palo, Vice-President of Development at Snowbound. “Our new font map capability allows these companies to customize the display of their documents, achieving the flexibility to specify their font faces, point size, and style when displaying their documents.”

Support for AFP font maps is available in Snowbound’s FlexSnap web viewers and RasterMaster imaging SDKs for Java and Windows including DLL, ActiveX, and .NET.

With the RasterMaster imaging SDK, developers can also incorporate the ability to convert and extract text from AFP documents directly into their application.
Through FlexSnap, Snowbound’s universal Web viewer, users can quickly retrieve AFP files stored within a content repository or file server and view the information in the same application they view other files, including PDF and Word. This ability to open a variety of formats in one application improves workflow by delivering high-speed viewing capabilities.
