Windows in Financial Services (WFS), the quarterly trade magazine and the only financial industry publication in the Americas dedicated solely to covering Microsoft in the financial enterprise, announced today a new editorial staffing structure and expanded editorial coverage under Renee Wijnen Caruthers, the new managing editor. The publication is also formally launching its redesigned Web site.
According to Joseph Viviani, publisher of Windows in Financial Services, Caruthers has spent 10 years in journalism, most recently as editor of Waters, a monthly magazine about trading technology aimed at Wall Street CIOs. Previously, she was editor-in-chief of Financial Technology, a joint venture of Euromoney and Institutional Investor magazines and served as senior editor for Thomson Financial's Bank Technology News. She has covered teleservices technology, the corporate bond market and general assignment city and court beats for local news publications. She is currently serving as the managing editor of FSO magazine, a quarterly publication.
âWFS reaches more than 15,000 financial executives and pass-along readers with coverage of the latest trends, products and applications of technology solutions delivered by Microsoft and its expanding alliance of partners,â said Viviani. âCover to cover in print and online through our monthly e-newsletter and re-launched Web site, we will support Renee with three market sub-editors. Each will focus squarely in delivering expanded content, from case studies detailing how applications developed using Microsoft technology are providing readers across the capital markets, banking and insurance sectors with innovative and value-driven solution, to market trends, industry analysis, probing roundtables and in-depth profiles and interviews with leading industry figures.â
