Re-Launch Provides Developers Worldwide With Free Tools, Best Practices, & Tech-Driven Resources For Building High-Volume, Low-Latency Streaming Data Applications

StreamBase Systems, Inc., provider of the industry’s fastest and most powerful real-time and historical Complex Event Processing (CEP) software, today announced it has completed the re-launch of the StreamBase Developer Zone. The expanded online community has been constructed from the ground up to provide a comprehensive set of tools and resources, including new product documentation and a reference manual for the StreamSQL programming language, plug-ins, technical articles, and tutorials for building high-volume, low-latency streaming data applications.

In conjunction with the availability of its rebuilt Developer Zone, StreamBase also announced today that it has extended its Eclipse-based development platform with a new set of free plug-ins, also available as part of the rebuilt Developer Zone [See also STREAMBASE BROADENS FOOTPRINT TO OVER 2.2 MILLION DEVELOPERS WITH ECLIPSE-BASED PLATFORM & PLUG-IN ARCHITECTURE FOR COMPLEX EVENT PROCESSING].

“By making Eclipse the foundation of our stream processing development environment, we have expanded our footprint to more than 2.2 million developers world-wide and made it easy to extend our core platform capabilities,” said Barry Morris, Chairman and CEO of StreamBase. “To further support and ensure that this growing community stays on the cutting-edge of CEP application development, we needed to expand our Developer Zone. We have done this by providing a more open and complete set of resources that offers a venue for developers to contribute and exchange StreamSQL code and best practices.”

The new StreamBase Developer Zone includes:

> Unrestricted access to the free StreamBase Developer Edition software
> Community-driven blogs and related pertinent articles and technical whitepapers
> StreamBase sample code, product documentation and FAQs
> Extended code-share venues including user-contributed code and application samples
> StreamBase training resources including video tutorials and calendar for in-person workshops focused on StreamSQL, the next generation standards-based language for building real-time data applications
> StreamBase Developer Edition add-on downloads, including Eclipse plug-in capabilities to connect new data feeds or custom adapters to StreamBase’s stream processing engine
> Other application add-ons to support pre-production testing and optimal run-time performance

“Offering open and easily accessible resources, which can serve as a springboard for a truly collaborative and highly productive developer community, was a key driver in the creation of our new Developer Zone,” said Bill Hobbib, Vice President of Marketing at StreamBase. “We’re confident that developers will frequently visit this vastly improved zone to gain valuable insight in how to more rapidly build scalable, high-volume, low-latency streaming data applications for complex event processing.”
