Bloor’s Event Processing Report confers top honors on Syndera’s Operational Business Intelligence Suite

Bloor Research, a leading IT research, analyst and consultancy firm, has recognized Syndera in the Operational BI vendor category as the strongest product offering in its November 2006 report on Event Processing. Bloor acknowledged Syndera with the highest honor, the "Gold Award," citing its process awareness and high performance as distinguishing characteristics.

“A fundamental requirement of operational BI is to be able to monitor business processes so you can conduct root cause analysis,“ said Bloor Research Director, Philip Howard. "The key advantages that Syndera has as an operational BI tool, is that it is process aware and that it can support the sort of high performance BI requirements of capital markets. It is the only product in this category that offers both of these attributes. While there are event processing vendors that are process aware their implementations are not as advanced as Syndera’s.”

The Syndera Operational Business Intelligence Suite includes a self-service dashboard that provides real-time, end-to-end visibility of automated processes; a high-performance complex event processing engine that continuously collects events and computes real-time metrics, realtime alerts and key performance indicators; and an intuitive design environment that allows users to model their exact business requirements. With the Syndera Operational Business Intelligence
Suite, companies can proactively respond to opportunities and threats which results in reduced risk, greater customer satisfaction, and increased revenues.

Bloor Research has adopted the Bullseye open research framework for all its reports. Bloor's Bullseye is an independent multi-dimensional model for comparative analysis of IT products. The Bullseye method uses seven primary criteria for evaluating vendor/product solutions, each of which is made from various lower level attributes, to which weightings are applied to calculate the
total for those criteria. The seven main criteria for evaluating vendors were stability and risk, architecture, fit for purpose, scalability and performance, ease of use, support and coverage, and value for money.

"Organizations today compete in fast-paced environments requiring their employees to make important decisions swiftly, while faced with a flood of disparate data," said Syndera CEO, Janet Heppner-Jones. "The Syndera Operational Business Intelligence Suite empowers users to harness operational events in mission-critical business processes to make better decisions faster and gain competitive advantage. We are pleased that Bloor recognized Syndera’s solution as the leader in the Operational Business Intelligence category."
