ILOG APPOINTS FRED GEWANT VICE PRESIDENT OF FIELD OPERATIONS FOR THE AMERICAS

Company Promotes Harley Davis to Lead European Sales

ILOG® (NASDAQ: ILOG; Euronext: ILO, ISIN: FR0004042364) today announced the appointment of Fred Gewant to the position of vice president of field operations for the Americas. In his role, Gewant will lead ILOG's field sales, tele-sales and services organisations in the Americas with the goal of accelerating growth for ILOG's products.

Reporting to Eric Brisson, ILOG's executive vice president, sales and services, Gewant comes to ILOG with more than 20 years of technology sales and consulting experience. Prior to joining ILOG, he was senior vice president of worldwide sales at Certus Software, a corporate governance software provider. At Certus, Gewant was instrumental in growing the customer base from only three customers to more than 80 Fortune 1000 customers in less than three years.

Before Certus, Gewant was vice president and general manager for J.D. Edwards (now Oracle®) for the Western Region, which comprised one-third of the company's U.S. operations. During his 11-year J.D. Edwards tenure, Gewant moved from technical to consulting to sales roles where he gained domain expertise in supply chain management (SCM). He then moved into various senior sales management roles, including vice president and general manager for J.D. Edwards Latin America where he grew sales revenues from $19 million to $50 million in only two years. He was voted General Manager of the Year in 2000, and also led the company in sales revenue in 2001. Gewant has also worked in technical and consulting roles with Arthur Andersen, Datasearch and T.D. Services.

Also reporting to Brisson, Harley Davis, who previously led ILOG's professional services business in Europe, has been promoted to vice president, field operations, EMEA.Previously, Davis served as ILOG's Director of Professional Services for Europe, where he oversaw the sales and implementation of ILOG BRMS and planning and scheduling projects for leading organisations such as Peugeot, Commerzbank, Essilor, Yves Rocher, Metro de Madrid, and many others, tripling Europe's consulting services revenues in just three years. Prior to ILOG, Davis was CIO of BridgeSpan, Inc., in Mountain View, Calif., where he led the implementation of ILOG's BRMS for the world's first platform for managing e-signed mortgage documents. Prior to BridgeSpan, Davis was a consultant for ILOG. He also has a strong background as a software architect and consultant with companies including ILOG, Xerox, and Raytheon.
