Commenting on the anniversary, Malcolm Clark, Anvil director and strategist said, âStarting with the first client installation for ABN Amro in London, ARTS has, over the last decade, established itself as the premier front office repo and securities finance trading system in the market, with hundreds of users around the globe accessing the system on a daily basis.â
âThe markets we serve have seen incredible growth over the last ten years, and Anvil has grown alongside them, providing the tools traders need every step of the way,â Clark added.
Launched in 1996 as a repo trading system, ARTS has grown over the last ten years to encompass securities finance and agency lending. The last ten years has seen a concurrent growth in the company in terms of turnover, staff, geographic coverage and client base.

In addition to the original London office, Anvil has opened offices in New York, Toronto and Sydney, and a dedicated development centre in Malta. The company now employs 95 staff compared with 12 in 1996.
Anvilâs 1996 turnover was £960,000. This rose to £6.75 million in 2005 and is projected at £8.5 million for this year.
