Seasoned Industry Expert Joins Callidus Software to Spearhead Expansion into Growing EMEA Markets and to Drive Growth and Revenue

Callidus Software Inc., a leader in Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM), has appointed Andrew Armstrong as vice president of sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Prior to joining Callidus Software, Armstrong has successfully been driving business initiatives in EMEA for software security firms such as Encentuate, Trend Micro and Entrust as well as for Sun Microsystems and SCO. Armstrong comes to Callidus to orchestrate the company's expansion to EMEA and drive sales efforts in this increasingly important market.

"Andrew is an important link in our go-to market strategy to further drive our expansion into EMEA. His in-depth understanding of this market along with his solid knowledge of the relevance of incentive management and sales performance management made him our choice for this newly created position," said Robert Youngjohns, president and CEO of Callidus Software.

"We are leading the EIM market in North America and increases in the level of activity in Europe supported our strategic decision to broaden our footprint in EMEA. Andrew's expertise paired with his customer experience and deep relations within the industry will be an invaluable asset to our EMEA operations," continued Youngjohns.

Previously, Armstrong served as managing director EMEA for Encentuate, where he commanded the company's European growth through market expansion and sales of Encentuate's digital identity management products and services. Prior to this assignment, Armstrong was managing director for Trend Micro. He worked closely with sales and product management, aligning and implementing growth strategies and successfully positioning the company as the leading provider of network antivirus and Internet content security software and services in this market. Armstrong also served as the vice president of sales and marketing for Entrust which became the top performing region under his guidance.

"I am excited to join Callidus at this important time in the company's history," said Armstrong. "Our solutions for EIM and sales performance management can really change the behaviour of internal and external salesforces. The value of our solutions has been proven through successful customer deployments in the U.S. and abroad and I know that we will be able to duplicate this success in EMEA."
