Itanium Solutions Alliance

VILNIUS, October, 2005 – The Forbis Company, encouraged by its partners is joining the Itanium Solutions Alliance, formed in September the 26th, 2005 by early members, including Hyperion, Informatica, MiT Systems, MSC.Software, Sybase, Symantec, TIBCO and Trend Micro as well as by top enterprise and technical computing providers, such as Bull, Fujitsu, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Hitachi, HP, Intel, NEC, SGI and Unisys along with the leading software vendors, such as BEA, Microsoft, Novell, Oracle, Red Hat and SAS, who joined the organisation as charter members.

According to the PR published on the group’s Website "this alliance was formed by leading enterprise and technical solutions providers to work together toward a common objective of transitioning the world of proprietary computing platforms to open, industry standard solutions based on Itanium architecture. Together with leading enterprise software and hardware providers, the Alliance is dedicated to accelerating the adoption and ongoing development of Itanium solutions. Though just now forming, its membership comprises some of the most influential companies in the computing industry.

The new Alliance delivers a suite of enabling programs designed to accelerate the availability of Itanium solutions. For customers, this will mean faster time-to-implementation of the applications most critical to their new business needs. Now customers can reap the benefits of industry standard technology providing lower cost, higher levels of system performance and application integration as well as a broader choice of hardware and software vendors committed to the Itanium architecture."

The Forbis Company by joining this Alliance hopes to improve its operations on the basis of co-operation with the top companies according to the industrial standards.
