Toronto, ON â May 5, 2005 â Salentica Systems, a leading provider of client management and research distribution solutions for institutional brokerage firms, has announced a comprehensive module to address the reporting requirements of buy-side firms.
TMOC Reporter, an integral part of Salenticaâs institutional brokerage solution built around Microsoft® CRM, automates quarterly client reporting, enabling institutional brokers to quickly capture and report on all the
activities that deliver value to their buy-side clients. These activities include: research, one on ones, analyst interactions, management meetings, conferences and seminars.
"By assuring accurate reporting of all activities, TMOC Reporter will help sell-side firms demonstrate their full value to clients and support greater commission allocations," said Salenticaâs President Bill Rourke.
TMOC Reporter was developed in response to increased requests from buy-side firms for comprehensive reporting of all non-execution services provided by institutional brokers. With greater regulatory and public scrutiny, as well as professional guidelines and codes for the asset management industry, buy-side firms and their Trade Management Oversight Committees (TMOCs) must determine and disclose the value being delivered by approved brokers in return for trades/brokerage. This includes detailed quarterly information on all
non-execution services â such as conferences, seminars, research, analyst calls and management meetings.
Commenting on Salenticaâs new module, Chris Salapoutis, Chief Operating Officer at Orion Securities, said, "Our analysts and sales people need to be focused on delivering value to clients, not compiling activity reports
at quarter end. By automating that process, Salenticaâs TMOC Reporter will enable us to deliver on the heightened reporting demands of our clients in a very comprehensive and efficient way." Orion Securities is a leading independent investment dealer focused on Canadian growth companies in the oil & gas, mining, technology, healthcare and special situation sectors.
TMOC Reporter joins Salenticaâs other easy-to-implement modules in a complete client management solution that gives institutional brokers a complete view of their client while enabling targeted research distribution, trade and commission tracking, activity reporting, event management, BlackBerry® integration, call reporting and key event alerts.
Kenny McBride, Microsoftâs Global Industry Manager for Capital Markets commented that "Microsoft .Net technologies, coupled with Salenticaâs components and deep domain expertise, help our clients meet the increased reporting and compliance requirements of todayâs investment environment. Working with partners like Salentica, Microsoft-based solutions are transforming the experience that analyst and salespeople have in managing their clients, that leads to a vastly improved client experience."
